Sheeshpatti also known as Sheeshphool appear in various designs and patterns. There are sheeshphools that are just a single line hairband, other sheeshphools have a maang tikka attached to the hairband. They can be single line or multi line as well. For a bride, nothing is “Too Much”, hence heavy elaborate sheeshpattis are bride’s favourite choice.

Rajputhana jewellery dates back to the Rajput dynasty, who ruled the states of Rajasthan between 7th to 19th century. The term Rajput comes from Rajputra which means Son of Kings. What is Haldi Ceremony?

Haldi ia a hindi word which means turmeric. The ceremony is a customary practice before marriage, wherein both the bride and groom are applied tumeric paste on their face and body. The art of making polki jewellery is quiet difficult, hence it is expensive. It takes a lot of time in setting these polki stones within the intricate jewellery design.
